The Early Morning Dawn is inspired by traditional music of Ecuador that would be traditionally played by a small-town band as a ceremonial greeting for the day. The composer creatively used the instruments of the wind band to evoke the sounds of traditional Andean folk instruments including pan pipes, quenas and shakers.
