Aus aller Welt Konzertstück Tänze
Musical drama and humor are on full display here, as the composer pays homage to the Romantic orchestral repertoire, specifically the Brahms Hungarian Dances. A blazing tempo, interspersed with very slow sections, sudden dynamic shifts, and a juxtaposition of d minor and F major effectively add contrast to this new concert band work that sounds as if it came straight out of the 1800 s. Consider Danse Carnivale on your next concert as an effective opener, closer, or encore tune.
