from the Garden Suite
Konzertstück
Your performers and audience will be buzzing with excitement for the fourth and final movement of Randall Standridge s The Garden Suite. Playful melodies, achievable chromaticism, and colorful orchestration (including the use of buzzing mouthpieces and/or mutes for brass), along with careful attention to rhythmic vocabulary and range combine to make a winning combination! nbsp nbsp This movement stands on its own, or may be combined with nbsp Frogs, March of the Arachnids, nbsp and Flowers nbsp to present a large scale work for young ensembles. With nods to Rimsky-Korsakov, Khachaturian, and the use of the folk song The Arkansas Traveler, this work is sure to be a hit with performers and audiences alike.
